Est. 2019 — Milan, Italy
Origin
In 2019, former Olympic sprinter Marco Delacroix and aerospace engineer Dr. Yuki Tanaka shared one obsession: the wasted energy in every footstrike. Conventional running shoes were designed for comfort, not performance.
Working from a converted workshop in Milan, they spent three years reverse-engineering the biomechanics of the world's fastest sprinters. The result was the first SPEEDSTER prototype — a shoe so light, so responsive, it felt like running barefoot on springs.
Today, SPEEDSTER footwear is worn at the highest levels of professional athletics, from Olympic tracks to ultra-marathons in the Sahara. But the mission remains the same: remove everything that slows you down.
What We Stand For
Every component is scrutinized at the micron level. We reject "good enough" because our athletes never will. Each stitch, each weave, each compound is refined until it cannot be improved.
We build only for performance. Not for lifestyle, not for fashion. If a feature doesn't make you faster, lighter, or stronger — it doesn't belong in a SPEEDSTER shoe.
Our spec sheets are unambiguous. We publish real data from real athletes in real conditions. No marketing claims that can't be measured. No numbers that can't be reproduced.
Every decision starts with the same question: does this help the athlete? We run athlete-led design reviews at every development stage. The shoe is a tool — they define what it needs to do.
The Founders
Co-Founder & Chief Athlete Officer
Olympic 200m finalist. Ran competitively for 14 years before turning his frustration with existing footwear into a full-time obsession.
Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Aerospace engineer formerly at JAXA. Pioneered the Carbon X3 fiber weave system that forms the structural backbone of every SPEEDSTER shoe.
Milestones
Marco and Yuki establish SPEEDSTER in a 400 sq. ft. workshop. First prototype built entirely by hand.
First-generation carbon fiber plate enters athlete testing. Immediate 2.3% performance improvement recorded across all participants.
SPEEDSTER worn at the World Athletics Championships. Three world records set in SPEEDSTER footwear in a single week.
Revolutionary 72-filament aerospace mesh enters production. Adaptive lockdown technology achieves zero pressure points across all foot shapes.
Third-generation plate and the debut of the Signature Series — the lightest race shoe SPEEDSTER has ever built.
